Spain weather
It is possible to consider a climate of Spain as one of its main natural resources. On number of sunny days in a year Spain together with Italy and Greece divides the first place in Europe.
Spain shares to three climatic regions: the country North (from Galicia to Catalonia) - is subject to influence of Atlantic ocean. For this area mild, wet winter and moderately warm summer is characteristic. Southeast coast (Andalusia and Extremadura) - a climate of the Mediterranean phylum with exclusively mild, short winter and in the dry, hot summer. Low enough level of the deposits which are dropping out mainly in the autumn and winter is typical for this area. The central plateau - here a climate sharply continental, with considerable differences between diurnal and night temperature (in the centre of Spain in the summer the temperature in flow of day rises to +30°С, and alights to +15°С at night). Summer roast dry, winter dry, cold.
The climate of Spain is characterised by sharp changes of temperature and, except for the north, a small amount of deposits. On the central plateau summer so droughty, that practically all small rivers dry up. On the average for a year in Spain drops out about 600 mm of deposits. Winter in Madrid cold enough, and temperature can alight below zero. In Seville in the summer the temperature reaches + 49°С.
In spite of the fact that Iberian peninsula almost from different directions is environed by the sea, in its central part influence of bodies of water on climatic conditions comes to naught. The mountain chains stretched practically on all sealine, protect an intrinsic part of peninsula from choronomic influences. As a whole on the country the subtropical climate of the Mediterranean phylum though in the pure state it can be ascertained only in the south and the country east is predominant. Influence of continental climatic region increases in process of removal from coast. At coast where the sea works as the huge reservoir of solar energy, a climate very mild. At the Mediterranean coast the average winter temperature compounds +17°C, +19°C (below a mark in +10°C the thermometer alights very seldom). In the summer the temperature does not rise above + 32°C. The beach season here lasts from June till October.
For northern areas rather cold, rainy climate which in the country passes in more droughty is characteristic. It explains xeropolum diffusion to a southern direction. Sierra-Nevada protects the marginal south from cold continental winds.
In high-mountainous areas of Spain in winter months quite often there are frosts, abundant snow drops out. In the Pyrenees (Andorra), mountains Sierra-Nevadas (Andalusia) and Sierra-DE-gvadar-frame (near Madrid) are all year long open mounting skiing resorts. In the winter snow quite often drops out in in Aragon and Northern Castile.
On the islands of the Canary archipelago which has been had in Atlantic, to the northwest from Africa, a climate warm and mild. On Canary Islands practically there are no rains, and air temperature almost always 25-29°С. The climate and weather on Canary Islands are so congenial, that the swimming season on islands lasts practically all year long. Mid-annual temperature - +20°C, water warm all year long. Here seldom happens really hot, however the sun shines intensively enough. Tourists are recommended to use the means protecting a skin from a solar ultraviolet. The geographical location of islands, influence of warm winds and affinity of so-called Canary cold flow have caused a mild climate and more moderate temperature of air in comparison with mid-annual temperature of these widths. The climate of Canary Islands is considered one of the most healthy in the world. The island Tenerife the largest and known of islands of the Canary archipelago, involves with a warm mild climate and connatural contrasts. The swimming season to Tenerife proceeds all year long, the mid-annual temperature of air +22+24°С, and even in August here does not happen exhausting heat. Besides, on Canary Islands traditionally high level of the service calculated on solid public. Canary Islands can be visited throughout all year. Here all year long there is all for rest on seaside resorts and walks in mountains.
In Castile and the La Manche which has been had on the central plateau, from May till September there is very hot weather, and in the winter heavy, penetrating, cold winds here blow. The climate of Galicia, Asturias, Cantabria and Basque Country differs high humidity - rains here go literally all year long. At the same time the south and the southeast of Spain suffers often from a drought.
The most mild climate - in the south of the Mediterranean coast where the average temperature of January compounds nearby + 14°С. Forests in Spain are extremely rare and grow basically only in the northwest.
The most widespread arbour of the country - an aiphyllous oak. The cork oak, a poplar, an olive arbour, a nut, a beech grow in the country also. At the Mediterranean coast oranges, lemons, almonds grow. Representatives of a fauna: a wolf, a lynx, the feral cat, a fox, a feral wild boar, a deer, the jackrabbit. It is a lot of birds of prey. In the rivers and lakes a considerable quantity of currant tip borers, tenches and a trout.
Despite a diversity of climatic regions, a predominant climate of Spain is the subtropical climate of the Mediterranean phylum, with mild short winter and in the dry hot summer.
